Job Description

JOB ROLE :

– Perform preparation and coordination of seasoning and ingredients of food which needs to be cooked
– Also, participate in all types of cooking, frying and baking in accordance to standard recipes and able to portion, arrange and garnish the food before serving to customers

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

– Performs preparing, coordinating and participating of menu items in accordance to the standard recipes before cooking and ensuring quantity and quality of the foods are maintained
– Prepares meals and snacks in such a way that a minimum of nutrients are lost from foods, that ensure foods taste good and look appealing, and that there are ample amounts of foods for children to have as many servings as they need
– Maintains established standards of sanitation, safety and food preparation and storage as set by the local and state health departments; maintains an orderly, sanitary, and safe kitchen
– Able to operate a variety of manual and/or automated kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, toasters, fryers, mixers etc
– Assures the proper care and maintenance of all food service equipment; identifies equipment needs for food preparation and service and assists in purchasing as needed
– Purchases and place orders of food and supplies necessary upon requested
– Walk in interviews are welcomed between 8th of May to 31st of May 2015, Mondays to Fridays between 10.00am to 5.00pm
